Early Pat Boone albums
Though many truly countercultural Jesus People considered Boone an attempt by the established church to capitalize and exploit the movement's popularity, he was helpful in supporting fledgling Jesus Music industry on a number of levels. Boone offered Larry Norman and Randy Stonehill $3,000 to start One Way Records. He also established his own Christian recording label, Lamb & Lion, that introduced Jesus Music to a larger audience. His daughters formed The Boone Girls and were very popular throughout much of the late 70's and 80's. DS
