Scott Wesley Brown

Scott Wesley Brown Georgetown 1974
Believe it or not this popular ccm/pop artist actually started on a rather rugged note (and with hair length to match!). This custom debut starts off with a solid rocker (that's right, rock) 'Sing, Singing His Song' followed by a series of fine acoustic tunes with a rural folkiness to them - a musical mix and style that elicits comparisons to the early solo lps of Mike Johnson. Members of Sons Of Thunder supply bass, drums and lead guitar while Brown focuses on acoustic guitar and harmonica. A solid entry in the male solo realm. KS

We Need a Whole Lot More of Jesus
This album was recorded live "in concert" at Christ Church in Washington, DC. While I didn't attend this actual event, I did get to see Scott Wesley Brown perform live at this location a couple of years later. His concerts are more ministry than performance...and are a whole lot of fun! According to the liner notes, he was backed by the band Glad on this album. ARM
