Amy Grant

A native of Nashville, young Amy Grant began her musical career when she was just a small child. She started taking piano lessons when she was in the third grade, but quit after she discovered other activities more enjoyable.

It wasn't until her freshman year in high school that Amy's musical career took a serious step forward. For two years she was enrolled in a group guitar class, where she learned enough of the basics to play and sing in her school's chapel program.

Amy's ministry was an example of how God uses people of all ages and sizes to carry out this work. "Sometimes I wonder why I am so blessed to be given the chance to share my music with so many people. I can only say that I'm sure that it is a work that Jesus wants to do in me, and I must say it feels good to know Jesus can use even me to share His life."

Original "ugly" cover was later replaced by a more "glossy" one in the 80's.
