Ray Hildebrand

Ray Hildebrand was best known as half of the popular duo, Paul and Paula who had a 1963 one-hit wonder which Ray wrote called "Hey Paula."

They put out two regular albums and a Christmas-themed album after the success of "Hey Paula," which sold over two million copies in early 1963, charting to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the entire month of February.

In 1965, however, Hildebrand left the pairing as he wished to complete his college education. He later went on to have a career in Christian music during the late 60s and 70s and in the 80s became a part of the duo - Land & Hildebrand.
