Love Song Strings

Love Song Strings Creative Sound 1975

Evermore Mighty Wind 1978
Inspired by the "Hollyridge Strings Plays the Beatles" idea made popular in the '70's, Maranatha! Music and David Diggs tossed around the idea of doing an orchestral version of the songs recorded by Love Song. Maranatha! decided against it (later producing their Praise Strings series in a lighter, more classical vein) and David took the idea to Sonrise/Creative Sound Records, resulting in two albums, "Love Song Strings", and L.S.S."Evermore". These were jazzy versions (occasionally almost unrecognizable) of the songs of Love Song, as well as songs composed by David Diggs, Seawind, Erick Nelson, and others. The albums featured various Los Angeles string sections and studio musicians including Harvey Mason, members of Seawind & Oingo Boingo, as well as David Diggs & Bill Batstone.

Thanks to David "Love Song Strings" Diggs for this info.
