Fork In The Road
Blind since birth, Ken Medema learned to play the piano by listening to tape recordings or reading music written in Braille. He later took classical training, and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State. At the time that his first album, "Fork in the Road," was released, he was working as Director of Music and Creative Arts Therapies at the Essex County Hospital Center, a children's psychiatric facility in New Jersey. Many of the songs on his first album were written for the children that he worked with. ARM
