I've always liked funky, jazzy 70's rock and Sweet Comfort Band was a good entry into this area for Christian music. Occasionally a little too MOR and "radio ready", but most of the music on these early albums was refreshing and musicianship was top-notch. Bryan Duncan had one of the better pop/r&b voices back then also.
SCB went on to produce some excellent albums in the early 80's in a more rock vein. Bryan later began a successful solo career and Randy Thomas formed the Allies who released several albums of pop/rock in the 1980's. All their albums were released on CD but are getting harder to find now. DH
