Danny Taylor

Taylor Made Jubal 1971
He's the Taylor of the Matthews, Taylor And Johnson lp on NewPax as well as a prominent spokesman from the early Jesus music scene (he had a column in Harmony magazine called Tuning Up). Taylor Made is a blend of folk, rock, country, and pop - a decent album not unlike early Mike Johnson. Side 2 is especially strong with some intriguing minor-key sounds in 'The Eyes Of The Saint' and the mysteriously orchestrated 'Lady of Roses'. KS

At Carnegie Hall Tempo 1973
At Carnegie Hall is a fine solo acoustic performance alternating banjo, guitar, and piano. Not as zany as Randy Matthews' Now Do You Understand but makes a good companion to it. KS

A Time For Love Tempo 1976
A Time For Love holds up surprisingly well considering a good portion of it is richly-orchestrated romantic ballads. KS

I'm Not A One Man Show Newpax 1978
I'm Not A One Man Show is another live set, this time with a small band that includes Danny's wife Sandra on backing vocals. It's a simple and fun Jesus music concert of nineteen songs (a double album) with a variety of styles and some memorable titles like 'Snatchin' All The Children From The Pits of Hell', 'Boogie Woogie Preacher Man From New Orleans' and 'The Jesus Gonna Love Ya Rag'. Wish I'da been there. KS
