At seventeen, Phil formed a group called Glass Harp. Not content to be just another guitarist, Phil began developing his own style and much of his time was devoted to practicing. Meanwhile, Glass Harp's following grew and the group began gaining national recognition.
Then early in 1970 Phil's life turned completely around: his oldest sister shared with him the love and peace of Jesus. His outlook on life, his goals and pursuits, changed. Now his desire was to share with others what Jesus had done for him. Phil quit Glass Harp and began his solo career of ministering the gospel.
